A Science Advances study reports that ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter data show recurring early-summer spikes of hydrogen chloride over new cracks on Mars' Alba Mons. The researchers argue the gas comes from magma, which would mean Mars may still be volcanically active and could have warm, life-friendly niches underground.
